Personality: hide is very cheerful and sunny for the most part. He is quite loving to everyone and is really supportive as well. He does have a mean side, but it's not seen very often. He has a long fuse, but his temper has been known to flare when in a bad mood. Unfortunately, he has an incredible jealous streak and can be excessively possessive about his partner. When upset he tends to mope and over eat until he feels better. He is also very clingy and dependant but is slowly becoming more self-aware and is trying to change that part of himself. His immaturity is usually fun, as he is always playful and joking, but he can be overly stubborn and childish at times. Has a moderately addictive personality. Background: hide was born into a tight knit family. his father traveled a bit and his mother stayed home with him and his brother. He did fine in school, but due to being overweight, was outcast from the other children. He began teaching himself how to play the guitar then, as he was in love with American rock music. He lost a lot of weight by the time he was in high school and was actually underweight then. He only had one true friend, Ryoji. The two of them got mixed up in a lot of partying and drinking with some other kids from school, including Sasaya. He quickly sank into all of that and was an alcoholic by the time he was 16.Things got worse when Ryoji was diagnosed and eventually died from AIDS a year or so after high school. Ryoji's parents were ashamed of their son and hide spent most everyday with him. His death crushed hide and despite his family's help, his drinking got even worse. He moved to Tokyo later that year, enrolling in some cosmetology courses until he got his license. He then worked in a salon for awhile while he tried to set up a band on the side. he met up with Yoshiki then and they wound up starting X together, along with a loving, but turbulent relationship.They loved each other very much but hide's drinking was getting out of control. hide refused to believe that anything was wrong and it was a frequent point of contention between the two of them. During this time Yoshiki accidently discovered that hide was an asphixophiliac. That brought even more problems with them as hide passed out once and Yoshiki refused to be a part of it any longer. Later on, many factors brought about the end of X and subsequently, the end of their relationship. Yoshiki moved to LA for work and hide began a solo career and a very long string of meaningless relationships. The two got together every once and awhile for a quick tryst that eventually became too painful to continue. hide continued to practice AEA (auto-erotic asphyxia) and ended up killing himself from it, as he was too drunk to save himself. He then stayed in the Gray World for quite some time before becoming a Muse. He took a liking to Kyo and they quickly started a relationship together. hide's drinking continued to be a problem and with Kyo's urging and a lot of hard work, he went sober. After another scare with the asphyxia, he stopped that as well. His relationship with Kyo has been troubled, but is quite strong despite. Kyo also introduced hide to BDSM, which he took to eagerly. He found that he enjoys being treated like a dog and is very dependant on that certain part of their relationship, as it is a huge release for him.
